AR Rahman plans music album for children
Double Oscar winner music maestro AR Rahman is planning to compose and record an album with well known nursery rhymes which is exclusively meant for children.The popular children’s rhymes from all over the world in different languages are being collected and AR Rahman will give his own tunes for those rhymes.
Some of the students undergoing training in the Music Institute run by Rahman Foundation will also participate in composing some special songs for children.
Katrina Kaif and a group of children will act in the videos of the album.
Ali & Brahmi comedy track in Ek Nirajan deleted
It is unanimous talk that comedy track of Ali, Brahmanandam and Abhinya Sree in just released Ek Niranjan is worst and Vulgar, taking the feed back, Director Poori Jagannath has decided to cut the entire vulgar comedy track of these three in the film. From today (Saturday) all the theaters will be screening the edited version of the film

Naga Chaitanya as assistant director!
Naga Chaitanya is shooting for his current film in USA under the direction of Gautham Menon. After finishing its first schedule in Chennai, the unit left for USA where major part is being canned. Newcomer Samantha is acting opposite him in this film. As per the sources we learnt that Naga Chaitanya who played student role in his first film, Josh, is acting as assistant director in this second film. The film is said to be romantic drama with a different milieu although 'glamour field' plays major role. Manjula is producing it while A.R.Rehman is scoring the music.

Michael Jackson Gets Huge Applause On Telugu Screen
He is known as the king of pop and though he hails from America, even the remote villages of Andhra Pradesh know him. This was seen again in the latest release ‘Ek Niranjan’. Apparently, music director Mani Sharma came up with a tribute song for MJ and this was mixed with desi lyrics. Katrina Kaif Refused To Act With Akshay Kumar In DDD
Katrina Kaif, who has two releases in November, has made her preference clear. While she is still to commit dates for the promotion of De Dana Dan in which she stars opposite Akshay Kumar, she is going out on a limb to promote her other November release Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. According to sources, Katrina is quite kicked about the the Raj Kumar Santoshi film.
For the last three days, Katrina has been actively doing interviews in Mumbai and Kolkata and is even scheduled to fly to New Delhi, where she will do as many as five events in one day to for the promotion of Ajab Prem… Naturally, there is a feeling that she is being more partial to her film opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The actress and Ranbir are even expected to walk the ramp at the Fashion Week in Delhi as part of the film’s promotion.
It is felt that since she is the solo heroine in Ajab Prem…, Katrina is gung ho about this film, where as in De Dana Dan she has a much smaller role as the romantic interest of Akshay Kumar. Also, not helping matters much is that in DDD she also shares screen space with 24 other artistes including heroines Sameera Reddy and Neha Dhupia. Sources say that she has been already approached by the distribution team of DDD asking her to allot definite dates for the promotion activity.
Katrina is not amused with allegations that she prefers one movie of hers over the other and says, "There is a gap of 20 days between the release of both the films. And of course I agree that my next nine days will go in actively promoting Ajab Prem…because it’s releasing in the first week of November whereas De Dana Dan will release in the last week of November."
Kat explains that as far as her work goes, she will never compromise. "I don’t know where this question of my being partial to one film over the other is coming from," she says.
She says that the only reason why she has not allotted dates for the promotion of De Dana Dan is because she is waiting for Akshay to return from Baramati before she joins the publicity campaign. "Besides De Dana Dan has an ensemble cast. I will promote the film with the rest of them. In the case of Ajab Prem…, Ranbir has been shooting in Bhopal till October 27 and so I have had to go and do my own bit for the film. It may therefore appear like I’m being partial, but that’s incorrect," she adds.
Katrina says, "I did Blue and De Dana Dan because Akshay asked me to. He is someone who stood by me through the initial phase of my struggle and I have therefore done these films at his request. When someone like Akki asks me for something, I would do it with my eyes closed because it is important to me.’’
Sania Mirza watches London Dreams
Indian tennis player Sania Mirza, who is in London to start the build-up to the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, came face to face with Salman Khan who was put up at the same hotel. Salman invited Sania and her family for a private screening of London Dreams, which was held at a West End hotel last evening. Salman’s brother, Sohail, and his close family and friends also attended the showing and gave the film a thumbs up.
Salman has been hosted by Studio 18 in London for media engagements to promote his latest Vipul Shah-directed release.

Mahesh-Trivikram’s new film shooting in Rajasthan from Nov 5th
Maheshbabu’s new film under Trivikram Srinivas’s direction will soon be shot in Rajasthan. The film had already completed one long schedule in Rajasthan few months ago. Now, the unit will start shooting from November 5th onwards for 25 days at a stretch. Singamala Rameshbabu is producing the film. The film is being shot in Hyderabad from the past 10 days. After the completion of the schedule in Rajasthan, the film will be shot in a specially designed set in Vikarabad from the first week of December. The producer said that Trivikram and Mahesh are doing everything possible to repeat the magic of ‘Athadu’. The film is also being shot with grand production values. Animated Amitabh Bachchan In Priyadarshan’s Movie
Priyadarshan, known for directing offbeat films as well as commercial potboilers, is now entering a new facet in the film industry – animation. The animation flick is titled Twinergy and will have Amitabh Bachchan in the animated form.
This is the first animation film for the Bollywood star and he has even agreed to lend his voice for dubbing. Twinergy will be produced jointly by AB Corporation and Toonz India.
P Jayakumar, CEO of Toonz Animation India Pvt Ltd was quoted as saying, “We are sure it is going to entertain both children and grownups alike and set them thinking.” The film is slated to hit the screens for Deepavali next year.
Karan Johar’s Movie Will Create 200 Jobs For People In Australia
Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar’s Hindi remake of "Stepmom" will be shot in Sydney and will create 200 jobs for people in the Australian city, said Virginia Judge, minister assisting the Premier on the Arts. "This movie will take Sydney to Bollywood and an audience of more than one billion people. This is the first Australian production from one of Bollywood’s most iconic filmmakers Karan Johar," said Judge Tuesday in a press statement.
To be directed by Siddharth Malhotra, the film is inspired by director Chris Columbus’ 1998 hit drama "Stepmom", a heartwarming tale of two women – divorced Susan Sarandon and the new woman (Julia Roberts) in her ex-husband’s life – and the problems they face to find a common ground of understanding.
"We are excited to showcase the very best that Australia has to offer and we hope to bring back some of the infectious spirit and charm that has become synonymous with Australia and Australians," said Karan, who is producing it under his banner Dhama Productions.
The Hindi remake stars Kareena kapoor and Kajol and it will be extensively shot in Sydney.
"A film-friendly place with the best locales worldwide all in one city and suited to the requirements of my script. Besides, one needs to work with good people so what better place than Sydney," said Malhotra.
Dharma has hired Sydney-based TEMPLE as the Australian production company.
"Karan Johar is India’s iconic filmmaker and represents the modern professional brand of Indian cinema. His company’s decision to film in New South Wales (NSW) will not only take Indo Australian film links to a higher level but will also provide opportunity for Australian films and stories to develop collaborative links with India.
"Dharma filming in NSW is the ultimate compliment to Australia from Bollywood and as a filmmaker I am hoping this will result in deeper collaborations and co-productions between India and Australia," said Anupam Sharma, filmmaker and Head of the Australian production company Films and Casting Temple.

Allaying fears of an online identity theft, Aamir Khan has finally confessed that it is indeed he who was masquerading as ’Pucca Idiott’ on the social networking site Facebook.
