The famous and sucessful producer Shankar has his own passion making movies. His earlier movie with Tamil Super star Rajinikanth, ’Sivaji’ is a great sucess. One cannot forget that Shankar appeared on “Balley Lakka” song.

Sources said that he asked the assistants to arrange him a costume for his film ’Yanthram’. When Rajini heard this, he appreciated shankar and encouraged him to act in a prominent character. AR Rahman plans music album for children

Double Oscar winner music maestro AR Rahman is planning to compose and record an album with well known nursery rhymes which is exclusively meant for children.

The popular children’s rhymes from all over the world in different languages are being collected and AR Rahman will give his own tunes for those rhymes.

Some of the students undergoing training in the Music Institute run by Rahman Foundation will also participate in composing some special songs for children.

Katrina Kaif and a group of children will act in the videos of the album.

Ready movie remake in Tamil with Dhanush as Hero

Ilayaraja's 'Heights Of Greed' At Rs 2 Crores

When it comes to music, the one name that stands tall in the list is that of the veteran Ilayaraja. However, lately he has been hitting the headlines for his gestures than his music. Here is another one that seems to have surprised many in the small screen circuit.

Apparently, one of the channels which have been doing a reality singing show is all set to take off with a grand finale event and for this, they had wanted Ilayaraja to be the chief guest and also play a few songs more like a concert. This was slated to happen for long hours.

However, after showing interest in the concert, Ilayaraja is said to have demanded a whopping Rs 2 crores which gave sweat to the organizers. While some say that he has quoted that figure probably to avoid, the others said that he can say directly instead of beating around the bush in that case. Surya's Aadhavan As 'Ghatikudu' In Telugu

After Okkadunnadu, Tamil hero Surya comes up with another movie. His current Tamil film, Aadhavan, is being dubbed into Telugu as Ghatikudu. Nayanatara stars opposite Surya in this film which is directed by K S Ravi Kumar. Chandana Ramesh, MLA from Rajamundry, has bagged the rights for Telugu and he is releasing it on his banner CNR Creations.

Yesteryear actress B Saraoja Devi is playing a key role. “Almost after two decades, she is making comeback to the silver screen,” said producer Ramesh. Surya appears in various getups that include as 12-year-old kid. Haaris Jayaraj has composed the music and music will be launched at the month end. “We are planning to release the movie by next month end,” he added.

Swathi acted as sister to Trisha in the film Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule and also acted in Ananthapuram 1980. In the latest film by Selva she will portray an unconventional role. Even Vikram plays a character with grey shasdes. Thew shooting of this film begins shortly.

Vikram is also acting in a film titled “24” where he is paired with Ileana. He is also awaiting the release of Mani Ratnam’s “Raavana”.

'Raavana' is the most talked about movie in the industry these days. The movie has more than one highlight. It is being directed by popular director Mani Ratnam and stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead.

It also stars southern stars Vikram and Priyamani in important roles. The flick is being made in Hindi and Tamil and has been going on for some time.

Sources reveal that the movie is in its final stages of making. It is also being dubbed in Telugu simultaneously and as the title indicates, inside sources reveal that the film happens to be a contemporary adaptation of the epic Ramayana and the music has been composed by the Chennai Mozart A R Rahman.
