According to film nagar sources, Mahesh Babu is going to star with Genelia for their upcoming movie to be directed by Srinu Vytla under the banner of 14 Reels Entertainment banner, sources say that Genelia has been confirmed for the role.

Magadheera Success Seems To Have Floated Ram Charan Teja

Apparently, Charan was seen sitting next to his father Chiranjeevi and he didn’t utter a single word. On the other hand, cousin Allu Arjun was all over and he was mingling freely with everyone spreading a smile on the faces of those he met.

Many felt that the success of ‘Magadheera’ seems to have floated Charan and feel that it is too early for him to show that air since he has a long way to prove his mettle in the industry. They suggest that he should learn a thing or two from Arjun who is a rather social person.

New Delhi, megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he is still awaiting an acknowledgement for an SMS that he sent to Shah Rukh Khan on his birthday over a week ago.

“Nov 2 was Shah Rukh’s birthday and I may have been the very early wisher to him, but he still has not acknowledged,” Bachchan posted on his blog www.bigb.bigadda.com.

“(His) mobile must have crashed with the number of wishes he had continued to receive throughout the day. Maybe I should send him a reminder. (It is) most unlike him. I wished Gauri and him for their anniversary a few days back and they responded. But why not now?”

The actors have featured together in films like “Bhootnath”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham”, “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna” and “Mohabbatein”.

Ranbir Kapoor spends time with kids in hospital on Children’s Day

Mumbai, the occasion of Children’s Day Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor spent time narrating stories and singing for the children admitted at a hospital here.

“It’s my pleasure to be here. They actually called my mother as I was travelling. When I heard about it, I didn’t want to miss it,” said Ranbir while interacting with kids admitted at the Hinduja Hospital.

Ranbir sang the title song of his film “Bachna Ae Hasino” and even danced with the kids.

He also sat down with the kids and read out from “Jungle Book”.

Jaideep Sahni, writer of “Chak De! India” and “Khosla Ka Ghosla” also sat and talked to the kids for a while.

Ekta Kapoor and Aftab Shivdasani, who couldn’t make it for the interaction sent a set of story books for the children.

Vijay Gupta, deputy director, marketing of Hinduja Hospital said: “From now onwards we will organise such sessions regularly in the hospital.”

New York kicks off Cairo Film Fest

India is the guest of honour at the 33rd Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), which opened here with the screening of John Abraham-Katrina Kaif starrer Hindi film New York.

The festival was jointly inaugurated by the Egyptian Minister of Culture, H E Farouk Hosni and Indian Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Raghu Menon, last night.

Around 25 Indian films will be screened during the 10-day-long festival, which will also organise a retrospective of the films by Indian director Madhur Bhandarkar.

More than 30 leading Indian films personalities are expected to grace the festival red carpet.

Some of the big names being legendary filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan, who is also the chairperson of the international jury, actress Sridevi and her producer husband Boney Kapoor, director Madhur Bhandarkar, Slumdog Millionaire star Irrfan Khan and writer Vikas Swarup, Kabir Khan, Jai Tank and Krishna Seshadri Gomatam.(PTI)
