After the success of "Magadheera" every top producer is on look for the dates of sensational director. Now, Murali Mohan, founder of Jayabheri Arts banner is planning a film with Jr NTR and wants to rope in SS Rajamouli as director.

If SS Rajamouli accepts this offer, there are chances that this film will go on sets only in the end of 2010, as both Rajamouli and Jr NTR will be busy with their projects till then. Lets hope this project comes on sets and become a sensational hits like their earlier films.

Priyamani as Shoorpankha in “Raavana”

Mani Ratnam is making the film “Raavana” which is described as a modern take on the epic Ramayana. The film features Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Vikram and Govinda in the lead roles.

National award winning actress Priyamani has been cast as Shoorpankha in the film. According to sources, Mani Ratnam approached manu Bollywood actresses for the role, but no one is said to be interested in playing the role of sister to Abhishek Bachchan who plays the role of Raavana.

After a futile search for the casting of Shoorpankha, the director zeroed in on Priyamani who consented for the role as unlike Bollywood actresses and some other southern heroines, she does not entertain serious attempts to break into Bollywood as a heroine.

Jr NTR's song shoot starts in Italy today

The song is being choreographed by Master Raju Sundaram and it has a city back drop with most locales being in and around Milan. 12 local dancers (6 male and 6 female) have been hired for the song. The local coordinator is the same person who coordinated for Hindi films ‘Bachchna Ae Haseeno’ and Kambakht ishq. The song shoot is expected to continue till September 4th. The movie has been tentatively titled ‘Adurs’ and is directed by V.V.Vinayak.

Jr NTR's Vaishnavi arts unit leaves to Italy

Today morning Vaishnavi arts unit left to Italy for the foreign schedule of Jr NTR’s film. Entire unit travelled through Emirates flight (August 30th 10.00 AM) via Dubai to shoot a song between Jr . NTR and Nayantara. They are expected to reach Milan, Italy by 8.30 PM local time. Title of the film has not been finalized and it tentatively called ‘Adurs’. V. V. Vinayak directs this film.

We all know that Jr NTR-Meher Ramesh-Aswani Dutt combination is planning for their second film. Earlier they worked for 'Kantri.'

As per sources, Meher Ramesh scripted this subject with a North India backdrop and is planning to shoot the major part of the film in Uttar Pradesh. Two heroines will feature alongside Jr NTR. Beautiful Kajal is being considered as main heroine. Other cast and crew are yet to be finalized.

'Simha' regular shooting from September 2nd

Master Paruchuri Kiriti is making a film "Simha" with Yuva Rathna Bala Krishna in the direction of Boyapati Srinu. Movie was launched recently. Three heroines will feature in this film.

As per producer, regular shooting will commence from 2nd September. He added that the film would be made with high technical values with huge budget.

Stylish star Allu Arjun most-awaited film "Arya Sequel" in the direction of Sukumar is in final stages at Goa and is all set to release on 25th September.

Allu Arjun will be seen as Software Engineer in this film. Kajal Agarwal is female lead, Navdeep and Shradda Das are doing important roles in this film. Adithya Ram is producer. Devi Sri Prasad is music director. Audio will be released in second week of September.

When a film is declared a success at the box office in India, it is quite natural that it would be remade in other languages. And this one is no exception!Magadheera, the smash hit film starring Ram Charan Teja, is all set to be remade in Tamil.

Although there are reports that Ajith could star in this film, there is no official confirmation yet. Reports also suggest that the film could be renamed after the super hit yesteryear film Maaveeran, which had Rajinikanth playing the lead role.Meanwhile, Kollywood is abuzz with news that Kalaipuli S Thanu is gearing up to produce the film in Tamil.

Rajendra Prasad Upset With Actress Rambha

Miffed about unflattering comments about her role by her co-star, Rambha refused to promote Quick Gun Murugun with him.Rajendra Prasad and Rambha, the lead actors of Quick Gun Murugun, which released today, no longer see eye-to-eye. The actress is miffed by his comments in a newspaper in the south where he claimed that she has a miniscule role as a bar dancer. Her annoyance was evident as the lead actors did not promote their film together. Rajendra plays the title role of Quick Gun Murugun while Rambha plays his love interest, Mango Dolly.

Yesterday, Rambha was in Mumbai to promote the film but Rajendra was nowhere to be seen. A source says, “Rambha had made doubly sure that Rajendra is not around. She had categorically stated that if the makers force her to promote the film with him, she would leave town at once.”In fact, it was only after she finished with her promotional activity and left yesterday that Rajendra was flown down to Mumbai to do his bit.

Rambha said, “I have not refused to promote the film with Rajendra. But yes, I did ask director Shashank Ghosh about Rajendra’s statement. Rajendra has said that I play a bar dancer but that’s not true. He has also said that I have a miniscule role but the audience will soon know that’s not true either. I don’t want to say anything more.”

Tollywood supersedes Kollywood in felicitating Kamal Hassan. The star’s 50th year in cinema is being celebrated by film fraternity and fans. Though a bit late the Tamil film industry did not fail to give what is due to the actor, by announcing a felicitation function on September 12th.

What is noteworthy is that the Telugu film industry has decided to show their love for the actor by announcing a function two days earlier to the Tamil film industry on September 10th, 2009. The function will see all big names in Tollywood.Wonder why the Tamil film fraternity failed to see this earlier.

Sadaa begins her Bollywood innings

Sadaa Sayed, who has been part of many superhits and won awards down South, is all set to make a mark in Bollywood.

The actress will have Randeep Hooda wooing her in Pittie Group and Victoria Entertainment’s film Love Khichdi. Speaking about her role in the movie, she says, “I play a South Indian girl who has been living in Mumbai. I play Randeep’s best friend in the movie. Thankfully, it’s not a stereotypical role where I have to put on a fake South Indian accent.”

Considering the fact that there are six other girls sharing screen space in this movie wasn’t Sadaa worried about her role? “I was sceptical when they approached me with the film, but when I heard the role I couldn’t say no. I have never done anything like this before. Plus this role has more meat to it than many lead roles,” she says.

Aish and Abhishek’s “Raavana” in climax shoot

Acclaimed director Mani Ratnam’s latest film “Raavana” is nearing completion and the shooting will conclude by the end of September.

Mani is shooting the climax scenes of the film at Malshej Ghats near Mumbai. The shoot involves key actors Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Vikram and Munnah. This month long schedule will also have Prithiviraj, Prabhu, Karthik and Govinda participating.

“Raavana” has been beset with unforeseen delays as Mani suffered a mild heart attack and Aishwarya was indisposed during the shoot. The unit also encountered delays as they could not get permission from forest authorities in time.

“Raavana” is slated for release for Sankranthi in the month of January 2010.

Mani Ratnam’s “Roja” to be released in English

South India’s top director Mani Ratnam made waves with his film “Roja” dealing with terrorism in 1992. One of the greatest events connected with “Roja” is the debut of AR Rahman as music director who went on to win theOscars.

“Roja” starring Arvind Swamy and Madhoo was nominated for the Golden St. George Award at theMoscow International Film Festival. The film also won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration, Filmfare Awards (South) for Best Movie and Best Director and Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Director.

“Roja” is now being dubbed intoEnglisg and will soon be released in the overseas market. The English version is expected to en-cash the present international popularity of AR Rahman and the theme of terrorism.

Nagarjuna's next movie based on Hollywood movie 21?

Shooting of Nagarjuna's new movie in the direction of debutant commenced last month in Guntur. D Siva Prasad Reddy is making this on Kamakshi Kalaa Movies. Bollywood model Chitrangada Singh and Pooja(Nenu Devudni fame) are acting opposite Nagarjuna.

On the eve of Nag's birthday, makers have released some stills of movie, where Nag was seen holding the playing cards, which raised a huge speculation that this movie is based on Gambling like Hollywood movie '21.' In next month, unit is traveling to Goa for a month long shoot and there is a legal Casino on the sea shore. This is making everyone beleive that the story is based on Gambling.

Sandeep Chowta is composing the music. As we know Nagarjuna's other movie was titled 'Payanam' recently and that is being directed by Akasamantha director.

Kalyanram's Latest Film Details

The final schedule of NTR Arts Prod. No. 3, directed by debutante Naren, is in progress in Hyderabad. The yet untitled film has Hansika Motwani playing the female lead opposite Nandamuri Kalyanram. Mukesh Rishi, Ashish Vidyarthi, Jayaprakash Reddy, Brahmanandam, Ali, Raghubabu, Venumadhav, Chalapati Rao, Sudha, Hema, Benarjee and Vakheel Khan from the rest of the cast.

It has story-dialogues by BVS Ravi, music by Thaman S., cinematography by Dasarathi Sivendra, action by Vijay, editing by Goutham Raju and art by Rajeev Nair. Master Nandamuri Souryaram presents the film.

Manoj - Anushka’s Vedam shooting in Old City

Director Radha krishna Jagarlamudi aka Krish’s second film, Vedam shooting is being canned in old havelis of old City with Anushka and Manchu Manoj. The shoot will continue for a few more days and will resume again after a brief break. The director wanted to shoot the film continuously in single schedule to maintain and optimize the feel of the overall film, but because of Anushka being busy with Mahesh’s film and Allu Arjun’s film with Gunashekar, the director could not have it his way. He is forced to take breaks in between. The team seems to be hyped about the way the film is shaping out. Krish’s first film was the successful Gamyam.

'Josh' To Cross 'Chirutha' Charisma

It is known news that the film ‘Josh’ is all set to hit the screens soon but before that many have been working on a comparison graph between Naga Chaitanya and Ramcharan Teja, son of megastar Chiranjeevi. Charan made his debut with ‘Chirutha’ while Chaitu is arriving with ‘Josh’.

Now, many feel that ‘Josh’ will have a far better impact and charisma than ‘Chirutha’. Aamir Khan’s “3 Idiots” releasing on Christmas Day

Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s fortcoming film"3 Idiots" starring Aamir Khan, Madhavan,Kareena Kapoor, Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, is slated for release on December 25, the Christmas Day.

Aamir Khan has a lot of sentiment for Christmas Day release as his blockbuster movies “Tare Zameen Par” (2007) and “Ghajini” (2008) were released on the same day.

Ileana’s got chance opposite Vikram

Hero Vikram is now a big name not just in Tamil but in entire south India. Vikram’s films like Aparichithudu, Sivaputhrudu and now Mallanna have made him a big star hero in the country.

Ileana is a top heroine in Telugu and she has been trying to get a foothold in Tamil as well. So when director Vikram Kumar gave her a chance to star opposite Vikram, she simply grabbed the offer with both hands.

Ileana will act opposite Vikram in the Tamil film titled 24 (Iruvatthi Naalu). The film will commence shooting sometime in November after Vikram completes work for theMani Ratnam directed film Raavan.
